Philanthropy Goals

  • The valued ∑A pillar of service is reflected in our chapter's willingness to and persistence in participating in local and national philanthropy events. Every semester, we work towards planning and executing multiple events in which we strive to better the community surrounding us.

  • Ag In The Classroom

∑A's national philanthropy event is Ag In The Classroom. This event is all about the education of our nation's youth about the importance and relevance of agriculture in everyday life. In fall 2014, the Beta Alpha chapter was pleased to visit Glenelg Country School. The sisters taught the students about making homemade butter, how they can eat healthy and local, growing crops, and animals that are used in agriculture. Everyone involved had fun

Rewarding on both ends, we certainly plan to continue with our lessons! If you are interested in having the Beta Alpha chapter educate about agriculture to a school you know, please see our Contact Us page.
